Fifteen years old from the cellar. It was probably a little past its prime although after some airing it actually lost the foul tastes and opened up nicely. It never quite got to a greatness level but was a pleasantly aged Shiraz. Started to go south not long after it hit its peak flavor.

Unlike the surprisingly excellent 2000, which was still holding up very well, this bottle simply didn't last.

Wine was very tired and near end of life. Had a funk upon opening that decreased with time out of the bottle.

A nice brick red color. Plum and leather nose. Black cherry, salt and plastic notes. Short finish with slight tannins.
