  Dark garnet in glass, clear rim with aromas of smoke and blackberry. Palate shows rich, black fruit, grippy black earth, some smoke and a mouth-drying rush of grainy, dusty tannins. I'd suspect this wine could lay down for 10 years or more, emerging with richness and finess. Beautiful new world version of a big Neprica, well-built.
