Decanted this for an hour or so and it was still awfully green and tight. From there we started putting it through the Vinturi (something I rarely do) as we poured, which helped mellow and smooth it out a bit. It was barely drinkable before the Vinturi but decent after that. I wonder if time in the bottle would help? Doubt I'll buy again.

The 2009 Barba Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Vasari offers a mix of plum, spices, vanilla, tobacco and earthy notes. Medium-bodied with soft tannins and a silky finish. (Best 2012-2015) - November, 2012

10/12/2014 - DDicaprio Does not like this wine: 88 Points
An unmemorable wine, not undrinkable as others at dinner seemed to like it, but was nothing more than just okay.
