  • Cherry, dark cherry, fruit cocktail. Tangy acid. Crunch and tobacco, not unlike WA state. Tobacco has popped up in the mix more than in previous experience with this vintage. Drinking great on its own, but great at the dimmer table. At hinterland with Elizabeth, Becky, and Mumsie.

  • This is Day 2. Red and fresh purple fruit aromas. Pronounced soapy florals notes. Medium flavor intensity, medium- tannin, medium body, medium plus acid. Tastes somewhere between Cru Beaujolais and the northern Rhone. Violet candy. Day 3 this was still rocking, but by day 4 starting to rise in acid.

  • Juicy cherry fruit aromas. Now open 3days at least and still kicking strong. Cherry and even the peach juice/ fruit cocktail note I remember in the 2009. Easy feel to the tannin and the acid right now feels a bit more modest than I recall, but still lively, for sure. Am I noticing a little pepper? Nice at the cork pull, but benefits from some serious airtime!

  • Kenny! 12.2% alcohol! In a red wine! Spicy grenache like aromatics, are maybe a bit of the Syrah black pepper thing the NZ notes below.

Juicy ripe pallate. The entrance is quite fruity and then a crab-apple Grenache like intensity takes over. Vibrant, fresh, grippy on the back of the palate. Needs a touch of time.

  • Feels like a core Of syrah, purple hue, high toned Washington state style glaze to the fruit. Jolly rancher-esque, loaded with bright cherry tones. The glassy cherry and medium body nature make this great at cellar temp. Feels like an everyday style, but the acid and fruit core could suggest otherwise.
