Unoaked, aged in stainless. Partial malo. Light tropical nose of pineapple, kiwi. Very nice fruit in the palette, especially for $$. Crisp lemon, lemon peel, pear, light steel/mineral crispness, then quick finish.

(13.5%) Pineapple, tropical, citrus almost a bit creamy before a nice crisp finish. Clean fruit, very nice. Interestingly I always seem to find more enjoyment in these value ($8 here) driven offering than those of their higher price tag bearing brethren. More money equals more new oak which is not a good thing from my perspective. Okay dismounting pulpit now but feel free to enjoy amongst yourself in the meantime...
Bought Because: In supermarket, previous good experiences with winery Wine Geek Notes: Twist-off, aged in stainless steel

Pineapple and grapefruit on the nose. White grapefruit and maybe some lemon sourness on the pallet, with grapefruit completing the trip on the finish. Nice with grilled shrimp or on it's own.

Interesting story... We were enjoying this humming bird Chardonnay on the deck, bottle in the middle of the table with, of all things, a glass hummingbird stopper we received as a gift from a great couple, Deb and Louis. As many lovely surprises come in threes, as we sipped on the deck, a female Ruby-Throated Hummingbird flew up and hovered, beak-to-beak with the hummingbird stopper on our Clos la Chance Hummingbird Chardonnay. Three or four seconds was all it lasted, but what a fascinating nexus of loveliness.
