  Light red with a brown tinge. Intense tar, roasted meat, black cherry and spice nose. Dry slightly rich Nebbiolo flavours with a dry spicy finish.

  I am really not a big fan of any of the 2004, 2005 and 2006 Giblin I have tried. The last 2 bottles of 2004 were certainly oxidated (even though the cork looks fine), but I am not sure this one lacks from anything else than being a really poor wine. No fruit left, just raw tannins and acidity. The score would be 65 or something like that, so I hope it is flawed in some way. Good luck if you should have any Giblins around. I'll hope for a miracle with my remaining bottles and never buy again.

  Nez de cerise et de bois, un peu moins mur que la dernière que j'ai bu. L'autre pourra attendre encore quelque année. encore un drôle de dépôt en flocon dans la bouteille. J'ai du filtrées les dernier verre.

  A very nice, fruit forward modern Barolo. The wine is a crimson red and fairly transparent. The nose as well defined red fruit, tobacco and minerality. On the palate the fruit continued to show, the acidity and tannins were balanced. The finish was subtle with a smokey leather quality. The wine is a good value with lots to like. 5+12+16+8=91

  The fruit showed right off the bat, and then withdrew for a couple of hours. The wine has a lovely acidity, structure and tannin profile, with vibrant fruit after a two hour decant. Leather, spices and tar on the nose, and a very long finish. Drink now or hold.
