Pop and pour. Loads of clove and black raspberry on the nose, maybe a touch of balsamic. On the palate, seems a bit soft on the acidity, but then black fruit, and grainy tannin on the clipped finish. This bottle was on the downslope, but ok.
Day 3: (Unrefrigerated on the counter) Basically raisins and oak now.

Decanted, and sat in a wide-bottom decanter over a few hours. A bit closed at first, but opened nicely with about 30 minutes of air. On the nose, a hint of roses, leaning in a slightly candied direction, followed by mint, clove and coffee. Some alcoholic heat on the nose... On the palate, the acidity is very vibrant and the tannins have softened nicely, though still leaving a well-delineated finish. The finish leans sharp, and shows a fair amount of heat, but this is in a pretty good place now with a bit of air...
Put in fridge and opened up again on Day 3: totally oxidized.

Nice nose with coffee, cloves, cinnamon, maybe some leather. Still very tannic but with good acid to balance.
