outstanding wine, and terrific QPR. Full flavored, swell structures and long lasting palate. Dark fruits, herbs, pepper and fat in a velvety robe. Just a pleasure to drink. Probably a bit heavy and very new world for some, but wonderful with a venison stew and really delightful.

Really, really jammy. Not the type of Novy Syrah I remember. Still fresh but not a lot of smoke. I hope this is just an anomaly. Reminded me of the '07 Mollydooker The Boxer.

tasted this at the winery and loved it several years ago, but this bottle was flat, a bit oaky, and boring. Wasn;t corked. Maybe slightly off? plenty of $8 closeout bottles that outperform this one. Again, i really like novy/siduri, so may have just been slightly off?
update after a bit more breathing, a nice charcoally element comes out on the finish and it fills out a bit more. upgraded to 86-87, still a bit monolithic.

Still fresh. The ripeness is on the edge. Works nicely with a little chill on it. No signs of fading.
