After a recent string of nice Champers this, by comparison, suffered a little in the lineup. Not an unpleasant drop at all, but it’s simplicity and modest pedigree were evident. Splitting the difference with an 88 now.

A little fuller and more open than my first one. Nice creaminess and texture with a New World Chardonnay template underneath. Raising my rating from November. 4+11+17+7= 89

Medium straw color with a very light haze and a fine, slow mousse of short persistence. Weak-medium intensity aroma, but proper Chardonnay character and no oak. Dry, with nice acidic grip and texture that lends itself better to go with food. Clean, average length finish. Fairly simple, though enjoyable enough for the cover charge. 4+10+16+7= 87

(NV Full Pull & Friends Blanc de Blancs Brut Nature D18 (FPF-24) Hello friends. We have a new wine today from our popular Full Pull & Friends negociant label, and it is extra-exciting for a pair of reasons. Number one, it’s our first FPF Rhone blend since April 2014, and our first-ever Rhone from the winery partner we’ve dubbed “Winery Alpha” (our partner for several Cabernets, several Chardonnays, and several Bordeaux blends). Number two, it’s the first FPF red we’ve been able to offer at a TPU price lower than $29.99 since our 2012 Bacchus Vineyard Cabernet Franc ($26.99 TPU) in June 2014:Originally offered in April, and we’re already down to the last 18% of our stash, so this is borderline last-call territory. And that’s after bumping production by 30% this year in hopes of at least making it through the end of 2018 with this wine in stock (a prospect looking less and less likely). It’s 100% Chardonnay, bone-dry, all lemon and mineral and instant refreshment.
(NV Full Pull & Friends Blanc de Blancs Brut Nature D18 (FPF-24) Hello friends. We have the return today of one of the most popular wines we offer each year: our Full Pull & Friends bubbly, made exclusively for our list members. The first two disgorgements of this wine both sold out within a week, so last year we bumped our production and it lasted from April to July. This year, with the *hope* of lasting all summer, we upped production again by 30%.Originally offered in April, and we’re already down to the last 18% of our stash, so this is borderline last-call territory. We like dry bubbly but this was extremely dry, by design (“nature”). Interesting for the novelty but wouldn’t buy again.

This is really great stuff and distinct from the style of wines coming out of Treveri Cellars, whose team made this wine.
