A surprisingly good expression of aged Santa Clara Valley Cabernet. Still big and bold, but the brashness of of fruit has appropriately receded a bit to allow more spice and a touch of herbs. A medium plus finish that still maintains good acidity, this wine still has plenty of life left. Easily enjoy or hold over the the next five years.

Decanted off its sediment and enjoyed with ribeyes, mushrooms and roasted potatoes with a bacon aioli. This is still rather deeply colored showing no signs of age though it is just eleven years old. Notes of black cherry, black currant, plum, pepper and incense. Served a bit too warm, there's a touch of alcoholic heat poking through- a bit more than cellar temp would be ideal, rather than room temp as this was. Flavors of spice- white pepper perhaps- along with loads of fruit- plum, raspberry, cherry and cassis. There's a bit of licorice too. Still has some tannic grip. I would say its best years are still ahead - hold until 2021 or decant for a couple of hours. 91 for Domino, 92 for me, with room for improvement.

Red berry jam, red plum and subtle spice notes. Nicely balanced. Red berry fruit on the palate. Young, but drinking nicely already. Room for improvement I think.

Still strong fruit, Santa Cruz cab style. Very nice bottle, probably fully mature. Drink up but I don't think it's dying, probably can go a few more years

Great value. Tasty red fruit and a bit of vanilla but has a nice bright finish. Lost weight since purchase and I like where it is now. Drink up.
