another home run bottle of Saint Laurent cab, with crisp, ripe fruit, some gentle tobacco notes and a balance that only comes with hitting a wine in its aging sweet-spot. The only thing that separates this from much more expensive wines is its lack of complexity. But, in "deliciousness" this was hard to savor because it was so tasty....the bottle didn't last more than 2 hours before we emptied it. I'm almost embarrassed to give this wine a 93 because it will undermine my credibility, but this bottle was that good. Based on the balance this has at the moment, I don't see this improving anymore. Its still has some soft tannins and light acid on the finish so its certainly not dying, but I'm going to drink the rest of mine now while the wine is singing.

Has improved a bit with another year in the bottle. Still an easy drinking little Cab from Washington state. Will go well with the juicy ribs tonight, and certainly good QPR. Lots of fruit up front, a soft mid-palate, with some nice tannin structure on the finish. Hasn't balanced yet (if it ever will).

Certainly a quality wine for this price point, but I'll definitely reach for Columbia Crest H3 in the future for a bargain cab.

Hot nose. Plum cherry Chocolate cedar slight green pepper with soft tannins but no secondary notes or much depth.

decent showing, seems to be getting a bit better balance over time but still a bit sticky sweet.
