This is pretty good. Nice nose.. bright fruits with a great streak of earthiness that continues onto the palate. Really coats the mouth with bright red fruits and powerful earthy notes. Good finish, lingers in the mouth. A ton of flavor impact for a lowly bourgogne. Not a delicate wine but I like this. I've had some mediocre experiences with some older bottlings ('98 Clos Vougeot rings a bell) but this producer's more recent vintages have just been great. And at $18 a bottle for a really nice bottle of pinot? What's not to like? Certainly drinking well now, I'm sure it will withstand some bottle age, but I'm not seeing the upside with more than a few years in the cellar.

Drank with Bayard at LPM. Nice nose with a bit of barnyard. Not overly aromatic but nice bottle for the price.
