Medium red in colour, the nose shows cedar, pencil shavings and somewhat muted cherry fruit initially that starts to become more obvious with time in the glass.
The palate is elegant with spicy cherry and understated plum combining with leathery tannins. The finish has a hint of dark chocolate with ripe stem and dark cherry fruit. Review Link - www.winereviewer.com.au (drink from 2012-2014)

Either at the end of its run or possibly going through a shy period much like some Rhone blends do in the 5th or 6th year. A great typical Aussie GSM that we have enjoyed - very hard to find - liked the 2004 better but the 05 was great! Velvety texture really benefits from a pour through the rabbit. Subtle fruit with a hint of spice in the background. I have emailed the winery several times regarding finding other vintages but tjhey never reply.

Shiraz 50%, Mourvedre 27%, Grenache 23%. Chocolate and spice. Interesting texture to the palate, lacks a little length. Good, but I didn't enjoy as much as some previous vintages.

This was actually a lot better than I remember. Not big, but rather smooth and just enough fruit. A very decent sipping wine.
