Decanted to dissolve a hint of carbon dioxide. Light as feather in every respect, except in flavour intensity. Spiced strawberries and flowers, cool mountain air, bright minerality, dry but juicy, fresh and flowing, mild tannins, finish with a hint of green apple, very good resonance and length. Not made with ageing in mind I think. It is what it is - and I love it. Drink soon(ish).

Opened and decanted 1.5 hours ahead of grilled lemon butter chicken. Super light, translucent ruby color. The nose brings red roses, blackberry jam, and spring herbs. The palate is light, square, textured, and fizzy (which moderated with air), bringing pomegranate, strawberries, rhubarb, and scattered cloves, spices, and forest floor into a juicy, extended finish with low tannins. Overall, very distinctive wine that grew on us as we consumed the bottle. Drink 2022-2026. Technical score: 92. Enjoyment score: 92.

Organic viticulture, 100% Poulsard planted in 1959 on marnes blanches and marnes grises, fermented with indigenous yeasts, bottled unfined and unfiltered, 11.2% ABV. Decanted to dissolve the carbon dioxide which acts as a natural stabliiser. Extremely pale tawny colour; mountain air on the light and fresh nose, spiced strawberries and aromatic green herbs, hints of flowers and earth; dry but juicy palate, supple and feather-light, fresh and flowing, with only the mildest of tannins; clean finish with ripe green apple, very good resonance and length.
