Glad I held on to 2 of these. Delicious melon and apple flavors backed by this nice creaminess from its time in oak and a slightly honeyed finish. Finish was noticeably thinner than my previous notes but still had good depth and bite. NC weather forecast for 4th of July is in the 100's, just might have to pop my last bottle to beat the heat. Popped & poured with a second Thanksgiving dinner the Friday after Thanksgiving. With 4 years of age this is is drinking great right now. The alcohol has mellowed without becoming flabby and really the versatility of this wine with food blew me away. Each dish brought out something else in this wine. Turkey breast and even honey ham accentuated the peach and lychee flavors; stuffing, mashed potatoes, greenbean casserole, etc brought out some great spices and the alcohol helped cleanse the palate, while fruit dishes transformed the wine into a honeyed nectar of sorts. Only 2 bottles of this epic wine left in my cellar. Still an A+ effort from McPrice! (see earlier entries for more complete notes)

My Birthday (Palate Food + Wine): Gorgeous honeysuckle and waxy peach nose, with unctuous viscosity in the mouth. Loved the bite of acid on the finish. Someone said they thought this had been acidified. No idea if that's true, but this is like springtime in a glass.
