Dark ruby red. Very discrete nose at first, with air develops aromas of back fruits, cloves, and lavender. Very smooth with velevety tannins. Shows ripe blackberries and wild raspberries, some backcurrants. Still very fresh. Very dry and well balanced, the wines remains round with ripe fruits. This is a no brainer for the price and will purchase it again. Better than some Châteauneuf for a fraction of the price.

2010 Vignobles Balma Vénitia Côtes du Rhône Villages Séguret Terrasse Pavée ($13 in 2013, Invino). Amazing GSM value. Keeps evolving. Mid-ruby, amber edges, viscous (14.0 alc.); red fruit, tea leaf, smokey, earthy nose; low-mid acids; low-mid tannins; balanced; good depth of fruit; food-friendly; nice finish. 16 UC Davis scale; 90 other scales.

Dry, austere, drying out. A bit thin as well. That said, we had no trouble finishing it, not bad on its own and very nice with dinner. Drink up.

This bottle was definitely worse than the rest. Just not worth drinking. May be at the end of the window.
