A dinner guest tried opening this with a waiter's knife and the cork started sinking. I tried rescuing it but the cork had no structural integrity and just fell apart no matter how gently it was pulled. The screw actually bore a hole in the cork with it still intact in the bottle. First time I've ever seen that happen. The ah-so just pushed the cork even further down the neck so we spent 15-minutes doing critical care surgery to extract the cork in bits and pieces.
Once poured in glass, the colour showed a clean medium-purple. Scents of dark fruits and brett. Palate was thin and muted at first but a 30-minute aeration brought out the earthy elements balanced by mature fruit and surprisingly good acidity. A good medium weight in the mouth with a nice satisfying finish.

PnP corkage at restaurant, really should have decanted a few hours as it was just starting to be wonderful towards the end of dinner. Expressive funky animal nose, with strawberry (specifically) & other red fruit, yogurt. Palate continues funky elements alongside blueberry, cherry, old cedar sawdust, and leather. Short to mid-length finish. Hard to come by in the states, wish I had more.

Brick - shows maturity. Smells like shit, barn yard and dark Chocolate - not fruit. No tannins left but still fresh in the aftertaste. Half body and a bit short, but what's left is so pure, mature and delicious. Probably a perfect bottle for this wine.

Very shy, classic nose. However, fails to deliver. Short and a bit green. We could not finish the bottle.
