A big, fruit-forward Pinot Noir from Samsara. Definitely not a Pinot for a Burgundy lover, but one for people who enjoy warmer climate Pinots. Still plenty, plenty of red fruit after 8 years or so in the bottle (6 years in my EuroCave) and fresh. Nice balance and acidity. My kind of Pinot Noir but I'm not as sophisticated in my pallet as many are. I really like this wine.

Decent pinot. Fine oak spices and bramble fruit on the nose, with some mushroomy earth. A bit dense and dumb on the palate; not much finesse or charm. But there is a tasty blood-orange brightness. All in all, I like this wine. Solid tannic structure. I'm optimistic that this wine will improve with a few years of bottle age.

Black cherry, raspberry, and blood orange with mouth-coating richness. Lots of spice and smoke. Wet-earth undertones. Rather big and bold but with excellent balancing acidity to keep it fresh and lively. Heavier, more assertive, and less bewitching than a string of red burgundies I've drunk recently.

Opulent fruit, licorice, tar and a burnt graphite quality. Definitely enjoyable but big, round and fuller than what you expect from Pinot.
