P&P. Medium-dark purple. Aromas of chocolate, coffee, citrus peel. Replays on the palate with sweet tobacco. Full bodied, high acid, XD, medium tannin, high alcohol (15%). Long, vanilla finish. No change day 2.
This wine spent 18 months in 45% new French oak. I feel it needs more time to come together. Unfortunately, the winery used a short DIAM 5 cork, that was already half-way penetrated! Unexpected and disappointing, as I don't think the corks will last long enough for the wine to really hit its stride (and be worth the $59 CAD price tag). Drink no later than 2026.

Coming out of the bottle this wine is a beautiful ruby / crimson colour. Stunning.
It’s a very bold Okanagan Syrah. Tastes of cherry (not too much), leather, graphite. Very complex. Not as oaky as I would have imagined (18 months in French oak). Lovely.

Lovely Syrah from a fine BC producer. Licorice. Pepper. Red fruit. Very tasty.
