  • Tasted OK in the opening. Good nose with fruit still remaining after 24 yrs. The color was a nice maroon crimson with a very slight brown. Knew there was going to be some better love from this '88 in a few hours. We drank it for Leap Year Day dinner since 1988 was a leap year. the wine was very smooth and supple on the palate. I smelled coffee and mint on the nose. The taste was long and held well balanced tannin. I love those older 12.5% wines when they are cellared correctly. This one came out great. Cork was in excellent shape.

  • Awesome 20 year old Cab. Really allows you to see how Napa Cabs should age. Mellow, but still flavourful with notes of dark cranberry, vanilla, and spice. Rich plum burgandy colour remains.
