Cellar Visit: Domaine Marc Roy (Gevrey Chambertin): Unusually, a white Marsannay. Fresh, floral nose. White flowers, a touch of creaminess and spice. No malo here. Long. Good body but nice line. Nicely mineral and starting to show some complexity. ***1/2

pale gold in colour with aroma's of stone fruit, wet stone and a slight hint of pear. Strong minerals with slight hint of pear in the mouth. Quite high acidity which lingers on the finish. I think this would have been better with food, I could imagine it with some fish in cream sauce or shellfish like lobster or scallops.
