Very foggy, rusty, red, brown. Stewed fruit on the nose. It still has some good flavor but is past its prime. Some tart strawberry, a little earth and minerals. Metal on the finish. We enjoyed it but wished we dark it sooner.

Brett and barnyard on the nose. Initially I assumed a (flawed) Burgundy but after the wine was revealed, it made much more sense. The Grenache character was obvious but again this did not made me love CDP any bit more.

Dark, a little cloudy, garnet and bricking. Nose is reddish fruit, some menthol and herbs and flowers. The taste is big, chewy, black cherry fruit, liquorice, sweet and spicy with some oak too. A really complex wine with lots going on; my last bottle sadly...

Cellar clearance 2013 (our house): A bit more rustic and gamey than the La Nerthe, this had a core of cherryish fruit beneath the smoked meats. This wine seemed at peak right now but has the acidity to age further.

Forward, ripe and sweet nose of dark fruit, herbs and meat. Not terrible deep or complex but easy to enjoy.
