This bottle kicked off the trip and was consumed over two days. I couldn't help but think of Araujo when I was drinking this wine. Balanced with sweet red fruit tannins. A kaleidoscope of barrel notes that just add to the complexity. A great spot to open and will continue to age well.

Double decanted for 2 hours, deep ruby, black cherries on the nose & palate, med/firm tannins, long finish; outstanding with better potential. I believe that this is just entering its prime drinking, but will likely improve. Drink or preferably hold

Opened on Friday and finished up on Sunday. Opened next to a 2011 VHR, 2012 Aloft Howell Mountain & Cedric Bouchard Roses de Jeanne Val Vilaine 2018.
PNP- First thoughts is I pulled this one too early. Big, broad and expressive. It was the group favorite on Friday night. I was excited to hold onto a third of the bottle for Sunday as I thought it would improve but ended up slightly disappointed upon opening after 48. Muted, cloudy and a little disjointed. This horse was built to sprint but fell apart after 48. 96 on day one but 93 on Sunday.

Drinking quite nicely with rounded black fruit, slight white pepper, subtle oak. Good acid, softened tannins.
