Tasted this next to the Adelsheim Elizabeth's Reserve (2010). They were equally excellent, this was more earthy and minerally - not surprising. Not as much bright fruit but more complexity here. Outstanding.

garnet color, inviting aromas, elegant structure, some cedar, subtle pepper, medium acidity, light body but excellent balance, lengthy finish. old-world style. ready to drink now.

Very little nose. Brown limb. Taste is muted red fruit with nice acid and almost no tannin. Finish is very short.
I think it is past its prime.
