Pretty accessible nose of cocoa, earth, grilled spiced meats. Medium bodied with the same flavors on the palate. Firm acidity and fine grained tannins. Pretty pleasant, not bad for the price.

Fairly big medium bodied pinot with lots of dark fruits, black cherry etc. Very pleasant if not very complex. Drinking well now. In looking at some of the review sites, it seems that the '09 may have been atypically bold and ripe and that the 2010 is lighter and more Burgundian.

I thought this was rather Burgundian in style. There is a strong indication of new world fruitiness, but also a stemmy, structured, age worthy back bone. Can't quite describe this as big, but the fruit is quite ripe, and even has a delightful hit of boysenberry. About medium bodied. Only average in color. Definitely get some brown or Asian spice. Noticeable, almost civilized tannins, make things a little dry on the palate. Might need to age. Could really use some cheese. Some earthy, tannic, black cherry on the finish. A decanter would really have helped.

Tart cherry upfront, with notes of spice - cinnamon, pepper and leather - in the finish.
