  • Overaskende bra. Denne har blitt veldig mye bedre siden sist jeg drakk den og er rett og slett en strålende vin til prisen. Drikker riktig flott nå og holder seg helt sikkert bra noen år til.

  • Gevry-Chambertin should be a minefield, a village wine with a sneaky name that sounds like Premier Cru. I was lucky this was chosen for me by a good merchant.

Everything you'd hope for in a young Pinot at this level. Beautiful. Clean clear varietal without being cosmetic. Plenty of frisky acid (in spite of some fears for 2009) balanced against a nice seam of lively fruit sweetness (a touch of sherbet) in a dry savoury food friendly wine.

Over dinner the wine changed to become deeper, softer, slightly cafe-latte approachable. Interesting.

I'm not sure how long this would age. I expect 10 years.

Cork. 13%. The label says "Les Jeaunes Rois" (the young kings). I'm not sure if this refers to a different blend, or a vineyard.

  • excellent burgundy with depth and elegance and long on the finish served with a London broil on Father's day - everyone liked it and clamored for more bottles of this most savory pinot noir, vinified in a way that only a burgundy will do....

  • Nice earthy nose typical of the appellation. Smooth and fine palate, with little tannins. Nose is attractive (if it's your thing) and persistent but fruit is lacking.

  • Vibrant, puchy nose that comprises of a little coal smoke, plenty of ripe berry and cherry and some meaty notes. It is rich and creamy in the mouth with powerful, chewy fruit that is tinged with savoury nuance. There’s good grip to the finish and length is admirable for its level.
