  Definitely needs a hour to decant. The nose is a sweet earthiness and quite enjoyable but the sweet and spiciness of the palate hide whatever notes might be lurking underneath.

To me, it is a touch reductive with tons of red cherry fruit with almost a candy like sweetness on the finish. This is a crowd pleaser wine. I prefer the more nuanced and refined expression of the grape.

  Full bodied, ripe cherry, candy apple, baking spice, sautéed mushrooms and a generous nose.

  I do like the crisp black raspberry jam and long finish. Was not a good match at dinner with a fairly spicy crab cake. Excellent afterwards by itself,

  Really nice depth of color. This has toasted bread, a little bit of cinnamon and brown sugar and red licorice on the nose. For my taste this is really optimally mature with prevalent fruit, no overextraction, and framed with nice acidity to balance the fruit that’s there. It had a very long finish with creamy vanilla and cherry flavors. A little bit of strawberry at the end as well.
