Chablis and Red Côte de Beaune Dinner (Portofino - Chicago IL): Popped-and-poured, alongside the 2010 Boucherottes I guess Rich didn't want to carry home any wine. This was more accessible right now, more fleshy and flashy, but certainly less concentration. Better for right now, even if I'd rather have Boucherottes in the cellar.

Jacques Lardiere Tasting at Terroir (Terroir Tribeca): Very nice open red fruit nose. Hints of spice - on taste open on the palate with soft and approachable tannins and fruit. Nice long fruit finish. Good acid balance.

Bright color. The nose is fresh and elegant, if a bit light, showing aromas of red fruits, wet leaves, flowers and a hint of mineral. This is medium bodied on the palate, with good concentration but a slight lack of finesse. The medium plus length finish shows ripe, firm tannins.

Like the Cent-Vignes, light red color and body with notes of red fruits and minerals. This one also took two hours (or longer) to open up, and the problem was not weight but disjointedness; it seemed unintegrated with the oak more prominent than it should be. But after two hours it began to come together, the oak was absorbed, and it made for a crisp, robust drink, though it still had some rough edges.
