  • Decanted for 2 hours. This was supposed to be past it's prime but drank very nicely- berries balanced with oak; has a long finish. Overall a great wine.

  • Deep dark red color, beautiful in the glass. After pouring into a decanter, nose held a lot of oak. After an hour or so, that mellowed and rich dark fruit gained prominence, with a little earthiness in the mix. Mouth-filling, pleasantly dry and full-bodied. Really well balanced flavors of dark fruit, a little spicy and nicely oaked. Long, aromatic finish. Recently had a 2000 vintage that was disappointingly past its prime; this one seems at its peak and I'm happy to have another bottle to enjoy in the next year or so. Fantastic with top sirloin steak w/ cabernet shallot reduction.

  • Drank with dinner. Very good cab, excellent qpr. Classic cab flavors (dark fruits, cassis), with nice complexity and length. There is an interesting eucalyptus, almost wintergreen aroma and flavor in the background.
