Appearance: Bright and clear, it has light ruby color, with fading rims and legs. Nose: Clean, with medium intensity aromas of red fruit of cherry, raspberry and strawberry, pungent spice of licorice, animal notes of meat juice, mineral notes of earth, kernel notes of toasted almond. The wine is youthful. Palate: Dry with medium (+) acidity, medium tannin of ripe and velvety texture, it has medium alcohol and medium (-) body, with medium intensity flavors of red fruit such as raspberry, cherry and strawberry, floral notes of violet, pungent spice of pepper. The wine has a medium (+) finish. Conclusion: Good quality Bourgogne with a fair intensity on the nose showing nice youthful characters though a bit lacking the complexity that would come probably given more ageing, this wine has good balance, a nice structure showing plenty of potential, with nice acidity and decent concentration. But the most notable would be the long finish it entails. It is a bit too young to drink now and would benefit from further ageing of another 8-10 years.

Dark ruby/garnet with only a dusting of sediment, this wine is on the doorstep of full maturity.
Plum, blackberry and cassis on the nose leading to a palate-coating delicious tasting. Superb village wine with limited aging upside though it will likely hold here for several more years Excellent and highly recommended. AA+

Quite young. Became much better 1 hr after openning. Great nose, very refreshing. A lot of structure on the palate. Intense flavor of fruit. Long, mouth coating finish. Super village wine.

Only 1 barrel produced in 2008.
Bottle No. 00012/298
Typical scent of Leroy, young but very nice, delicious with a kind of lovely stunning aftertaste.
Too bad that I bought only 1 bottle.
If I can find and get it again, I'd like to keep the bottle another 10-15 years.
Lately I drank 1970 Gevrey-Chambertin from Maison Leroy and it's still singing.
Great stuff !!
