This wine had some very unique notes on the nose- floral notes with dark fruit. Flavors followed with dark fruit which was intriguing but lifeless. The pallet was full of dark fruit but not alluring. The finish was not noticeably but I did enjoy the fruit flavor.

Would have been 92+ with a decant / longer time in glass before consumption - this was popped & poured pre-dinner on a whim and really does need quite a bit of air right now, as unfortunately often happens at our house it was really starting to get good as the bottle was being finished. Having said that this wine is in a beautiful mature drinking window right now with another good at least 3-5 more years to go under proper cellaring conditions but I also do not see any further potential upside to holding this further - drink now or in the next few years. A very good QPR wine at our original acquisition price at release. Dark rich aromatic nose with dark cherry, oak, rose and a hint of tobacco. Well structured, oak & tannins very well integrated, good mouth feel, very very dark almost black color and very pleasant smokey earthy medium long aftertaste. Primary flavors of dark stone fruit and blueberry up front with cassis and more earthy tones later in the palate. Definitely recommend but give it air.

Solid, well-crafted and smooth. Full-bodied fruit and bold enough to stand up to the Djon and Balsamic coating on the roasted beef tenderloin.
