Ripe plums, roasted spices of star anise and clove, pepper and grilled meat on the nose. Good density and balanced. Need an hour in the decanter for the nose to open up. Palate is fresh and spicy with blueberries. Medium to full-bodied. Texture is still somewhat rough from the tannins. Finish is quite smooth and lingering. Still can keep for another 2-3 years.
