Came across this little guy while digging thru my cellar. It had gotten lost behind some other bottles. I think someone gave this to me as a gift. What a gem! Even though past its recommended drinking window, this guy had been stored perfectly in my cellar. First taste as a bit zingy with fruit. Quite nice. Overall What is the grape on this thing? I think I read somewhere that it was Toringa Nacionale (spelling?). Anyway - on the lighter side and the age gave it some smokiness that was pleasant. Great with pizza. Great QPR.

A little miracle wine! Mighty good for the little price. The first time I purchased I bottle of this wine, I returned home to find a friend waiting with Blue Fish caught on the vineyard that day. We grilled the fish and drank the wine and I thought it one of the most perfect combinations ever. The wine is light bodied. Genuine. Moderate finish. Dry. Friendly. A great summer red. Would also be great with grilled veggies.

Firm, woody, dark character with spicy, chocolate flavours. Heady brambly and port-like fragrance.

Wines of Portugal: Leeds Trade Tasting (Park Plaza Hotel, Leeds): There are racy red fruits on the nose, with a bit of stink. Good, easy palate. Quite refreshing. Good balance. Very Good.
