What a pity that all the NZ pinot gris in the supermarket was labelled 'grigio', which usually suggests it's in a lighter, less distinctive style. Pale gold, with a creamy, juicy nose of melon and a touch of peach. Rather thick in the mouth, with such low acidity it seems almost sweet. There's more peach, and a mineral complexity that is nice, but it almost needs a dash of lime juice to wake it up. [Screwcap; 13.5% abv; Sainsbury's, on offer at ~£8].
