Beautiful dark ruby-garnet; "sweet" underbrush like ferns and moss and wet soil, with a squeeze of blackberry; clay and earthy mineral notes dominate; slight bitter-spicy note like bell-pepper; mouthfeel is creamy and smooth and expansive with lots of soft but grippy tannins; acid is just right, alcohol moderate, fuller bodied especially for a cab franc. This is wonderful and complex esp. after 15 minutes in the glass. W/pizza.

In excellent shape, soft/cooked green bell pepper, tobacco, black forest berry, cassis; soft, pretty dense for a Chinon, very serious CF. EH b-day at my place. Second day at El Conchito: really nice, smooth, rounded tannins, well-integrated and well-aged. At or nearing its peak. Drink up w/in the next 2-3+ years.

Nice medium dark ruby-purple-black; reticent nose but opened up after 10 minutes, macerated black cherry, complex herbal notes but mixed with pot-pouri, shrooms, fresh wet forest floor, bell pepper, nice bouquet and complexity. Somewhat mellowed out, well-integrated, lovely mouthfeel, but with medium tannic/excellent acid structure. Perfect with braised short ribs. In a primo place right now but will continue for another 5+ years?

Fantastic QPR. Drinking really well now, probably could hold but also probably more downside than upside at this point.
