Solid cabernet, with intense and complex aromas on the nose and palate. Unfortunately, very tannic right now and lacking some fruit to balance everything. Revisit in 2025-2026.

Tasted after a two hour decant. Dark ruby in colour with aromas of sweet black fruit, bell pepper/herbal, a note of oak & a hint of mint & earth. On the palate, full bodied tart black fruit, blackberry/boysenberry, cassis, herbaceous/bell pepper, background oak, medium to high acidity & high slightly angular tannins. As the wine opened up the flavour progressed to stronger cassis. The finish is long to pepper & a chalky minerality. This wine is youthful & somewhat aggressive, but flavour has good complexity & there is good cellaring potential.

Tasting through Lariana’s new releases. Mid to dark colour. Pryazines on the nose with hints of oak. Old world cues. Drinkable now, but will undoubtedly benefit from cellaring.
