  • Bright and airy on p&p. Nose of red currant and framboise. In 30 minutes this gained weight and structure; now I find some notes of petroleum jelly, red cherries and crushed stones. Hints of tar and cedar in there as well. Balance is pretty decent with a hint of chewiness and dustiness in the tannins. Finish is nice and it actually gets blacker as it travels to the finish than it did when it started. Interesting indeedy. Happy Tuesday ya'all.

  • Pop & pour on day 1. Great cherry fruit, earth, nice structure. Skipped day 2, and on day 3 this had slipped a bit. Still great cherry fruit, but the acid or tannins really got in the way, and it became almost astringent on the finish. I think 3 days open was a tad too much, and it started falling apart. Great wine on day 1 though!

  • Very nice upon initial opening. Huge nose with lots of black and blue berries, cinnamon and spice on the finish. Became much more subtle after a couple of hours. This should improve after a little more time in the bottle.
