Note: I use a scale on which 85 represents a very good wine.
A decent drink, but a little disappointing. Never seemed to open up, even after a day or two. Cloudy with sediment no matter how carefully I decanted it
Be ready to decant a lot of sediment - bring bottle out of cellar and store upright for at least 12 hours. I had to decant twice because it was hard to see through the neck of the frosted bottle. Nice amber edger in the glass, mellow nose of moist fall forest with a little edge of perfume and spice. More of the same in the mouth, blended nicely by age, complex, delicate, revealing new facets in the glass. I'd drink up now or within a year or so, with mild, earthy autumn food.

Same flavor profile, but much more integrated. A bit of a shock during a tasting next to younger Nebbiolos. Hard to say if it will improve much - it may integrate its flavors even more into a mellow, mature blend, or devolve into a tired mess. Drink now with understated earthy fare, or take a chance and wait 5 years to see if it reaches the sublime.

Outstanding. Cedar, cherry and tar nose. Complex taste of fruit, acid and tannins, with a long pleasant finish. Could age a few more years. Tough to decant because the bottle is frosted so it is hard to see the sediment (the bottle shape is also a hassle - I wish Travaglini used conventional bottles)

About the same as my last note, so this delicious wine still has life and could age a few more years!
