Salt nose on the palate. Fresh and green. Actually smells quite unusual. Les thinks that at 7 years old its drinking really pretty. And I would say green on the palate but still fleshy and fun.

Smaller producer. Black raspberry aromas. "Northern style". "Higher tone red fruit" Medium mouthfeel. Nice, present acidity. Still pretty and fresh for 2012. Juicy. Spicy on my gumline. Integrated, soft tannins. Black cherry and spiced oak. very pretty.

Evidently my accounting methods are not as accurate as I thought, because we found one more. It was really lovely. This has evolved into one of the lightest Drews we can recall — yet still with lovely savory and slightly earthy character.

This has evolved nicely. Balanced, with good acidity. Earthy, and the spicy red fruit profile is less big and more integrated than we recall from two prior bottles. This was our last, and we are sorry to see it go. Very enjoyable over three nights.
