Nose has smoke, plum, nutmeg, savory herbs, leather, a bit of noticeable oakiness, and cigarette ash. Palate has that plum, more toffee sweetness, oaky tannins that are noticeable but don't overwhelm the fruit-- which seems really deep and dark now. There's a stout beer rich sweetness that comes out with air. Beautiful wine. Finish is medium but just delicious. Hedonistic, beautiful, and even elegant. Really wish that I had left this wine alone for a few more years.

Fruit forward but with decent acidity and nice finish. Overall, fairly well balanced. Good QPR.
