Even now, it’s still more than drinkable. Sour cherry and red velvet nose, and sour cherry and a little spice on the palate. Went well with grilled salmon, grilled asparagus and modified caprese salad with pomegranate balsamic.

Medium red garnet color with a nose of white pepper and cherry. Somewhat of a sour cherry flavor profile that is medium bodied, smooth tannins make this a more elegant wine than I tend to think of for a CDP.

Drinking very well right now. Deep translucent cranberry color. Nose of red fruit, garrigue, and peppery spice. Palate is smooth and balanced with rich cranberry and sour cherry, white pepper and earthy minerals. Also picked up just a hint of citrus. Good structure that should age for a few more years.

My first 04 CdP, I was excited given the vintage notes (classic, not flashy). Medium red color. Earthy garrigue nose with some nice pepper and sour cherry fruit. The palate is terrific- medium to full-bodied, pure, and slightly sweet, a little fleshy. The finish is very pleasing- tannins that will mellow with time and a balanced acid structure. This one is all about balance and charm. Great value. I like what I see so far of 2004.
