  John told me this needed a decant, and although I'd tried that before with slightly unimpressive results, I thought I'd really go for it with a double splash decant. Not sure if that's what did the trick, or if it was just a good bottle, but this one sang well above its weight (excuse the mixed metaphors) with a great lively citrus acidity and minerality - managing to pack in some real sense of weight-defying life (almost Leflaivian in that regard).
