Plum, dark cherry, vanilla, oak, earth. Alcohol is medium, tannins are medium. Medium-plus acidity. Dry, almost chalky finish. Drinkable, yet disappointing for a Napa Merlot from a legendary producer.

A textbook Napa Merlot - soft and charming, but not without heft. Lots of cocoa and black cherry notes dance along pleasantly, along with just a bit of earthy, tobacco tug. Lovely with beef stew.

Strong acidity without much flavor or complexity. Rubbish
