Decanted for about an hour and a half; took a while to get going but now it’s kickin’. Nose has a spicy, grapefruit pith, cinnamon and white pepper and a hint of nail polish remover (not too much, a pro rather than a con here). Palate is light and crunchy with strawberry, black cherry hard candy, grapefruit peel, slightly stemmy (again, in a good way) and grippy. Structured but fresh; reminds me of a slightly wilder and funkier Cru Beaujolais. Delicious with takeout Beef and Black Bean Sauce.

Still a good amount of structure and tannin. More extracted than Robinot. There is potential but this needs a few years.

Probably the most food-friendly wine I've had to date (other than maybe the other Pineau d'Aunis).
