Not quite brilliantly clear green gold Huge pineapple and clove aromas and flavors, full bodied, rich, as good as cali chard gets if you appreciate the bigger style. Completely resolved and not reason to wait.

Pours a youthful straw yellow- one might guess 2014/2015 based on its appearance. Coconut and tropical fruit with a lovely floral overtone. No hard edges or obvious oak elements; rich and layered and beautifully integrated. A rich melange of tropical and orchard fruit. Lingering finish. Sadly, this was our last bottle. Paired beautifully with soft shell crabs in a light cream sauce over pasta.

Friday Night Brown Bagger (R&R's): Double blind. Similar to the first warm up, though a shade or two lighter in color, but with pear and a bit of toast and a subtle lemon undertone. Shows a slight tropical coconut flavor to go along with pear and citrus. I am trying to decide whether we have a two bottle vertical or horizontal. Seemed like the group was split between the two in terms of preference; I preferred the first by a slim margin. 92+.

Light youthful color- you'd never guess this was a 2009. Aromas of pear, apple, citrus, jasmine and peach. More weight on the palate than the elegant bouquet suggests, with a slight toasted richness- marshmallow, along with pear and citrus. Hints of mineral in the finish. Drink now-2025.

Popped and poured. This is in excellent shape. Gourgeous nose of white flowers and pear. The palate is still somewhat youthful! Layers of flavors of pear, Granny Smith, lemon, marmalade and mineral comes through. The wine has excellent acidity and energy and finishes long and satisfying. This was much better than the 2009 cuvee indigene I had recently.
