Pop and pour. A slightly muted bouquet of dark berries. A fantastically unctuous, velvety mouth-feel without any noticeable heat or astringency. Black cherry compote on the attack, with hints of leather on the mid-palate. Is likely at the tail end of the ideal drinking window, since after an hour or so, it started to take on a noticeably raisiny / port quality. So drink up! Would definitely consider buying the next vintage. Surprisingly good for an "alternative" wine region.

Smells like some Port style wines, with tobacco and leather accents. Loads of jammy fruit, searing alcohol, low tannin and acid.
