This was serious stuff. One of the better CdPs I've had all year. Deliciously balanced, subtle, savory and elegant. Good weight, not excessively heavy. Dusty mid-length finish. Pairing: Cemitas de Cecina. [A-]

This seemed at peak drinking to me. Wine has softened, fruit has taken on a lot of secondary flavors. Surprisingly, it continued to open over the 90 mins we enjoyed it.

At first felt a little overripe. After about 2 hours of decanting this wine started to really come together. Nice smoke/charcoal, with cherry jolly rancher. I think this wine is just at its peak as it has shed its tannins and lack of acid/backbone with limit ageibility from here

(Alain Corcia Crème La Crème Chateauneur du Pape) #2; COLOR-dark; NOSE-French custard w/ raspberries, asparagus & celery stick; chalkiness; minty; auto mechanic funk; TASTE-very bright fruit (raspberries); very elegant; good complexity; well made; perfect structure; exactly what CdP should be; strawberries on the back-end; some tannins on the back end; should last 5-10 years easy; RP-90/93; GV-90+

Still drinking fine, and very elegant, but past its prime. Drink immediately

This had taken on a medicinal flavor. Might have waited too long.
