(nose) soft tones of black jam, rich concentrated currant/syrup, waxy (palate) black currant, cherry, fruit has somewhat subsided, not overpowered by acid, heated wax, ends a bit abruptly (body) medium bodied, dull bronzed edges around solid brick red
Needs to decant for a couple hours due to carbonation. This bottle had crystallized sediment in the neck and underside of cork.
A little past its prime, still can be enjoyed. Solid QPR for ~$12 in 2016.

This was a big surprise and eye-opener to me. Not only how a mature Plavac Mali tastes, but also how 'natural/organic' it is. Don't know much about this wine, but seems to have been made in a very 'non-interventional' style. What it may be lacking in complexity, it more than makes up for in terms of charm and elegance.
