The wine shows very little first, a bit of earthy character, and kinda off... cab franc likewise ! Then palate is still a bit tannic, got a good power, and it stands well, would clear a few more years, but it finally doesn’t stand to that other cabernet of the evening, better on day 2 with more depth, and more flavours, cocoa, leaves...

In line with my note of 4/4/2018. The nose, identifiably cabernet franc, is light and rather less aromatic than one might hope for. On the palate, this is mature, correct, and with soft tannins. If you are looking for a lighter style of wine, then this is certainly enjoyable to drink, and with no faults. But I prefer a richer style.

Not a lot to the bouquet, but what there is speaks of a wine whose tannins have softened into maturity. However, the soft tannins reveal a palate lacking in intensity. I’d say probably on its plateau of maturity but no rush. It’s really very drinkable, plenty of typicity, but for me it lacks richness and delivers an element of dilution. I had hoped for something more exciting. Day 2: it seems rather less dumb on the nose but is otherwise unchanged - still enjoyable but a little underwhelming.

Robe rubis légèrement clair. Aromes vert, cerise, venaison, violette et fruits noirs. Long en bouche. Un peu austère seul, mais excellent avec une viande goûteuse. Besoin être décanté au moins 1h. Pourrait vieillir encore quelques années.

Robe violine encore, brillante.
