12.5% alcohol. Short dense cork with no wine penetration. Sustained ruby colour. Probably served a bit too cold, so did not shine during the meal; better afterwards, and I am basing this note on the final glass. Very good pinot nose of tart cherries. The mouth is vivid, with tart cherries again in evidence with mixed red berries. Plenty of grip Not the most complex or refined of red Sancerres at this stage, but a pretty pure one nevertheless. Will probably improve with bottle age; a bit of a rough diamond at the moment.
